Senior Associate
Edwin Lim has specialised in technology, media and intellectual property for over ten years. His main areas of practice are technology procurement and support, outsourcing and services, intellectual property commercialisation and transfer, technology due diligence, media, advertising and marketing, and general commercial. Edwin has worked for clients in various business and industry sectors including the software, technology, telecommunications, banking and finance, government, media, healthcare, hospitality, luxury automotive and aviation sectors.
As Edwin has two Honours degrees in Law and Commerce (Management Science and Information Systems) he understands the technical and legal issues involved in a client’s project, and is comfortable talking to clients about complex technology matters.
Edwin previously worked with Wayne Hudson and Simon Martin at Bell Gully for over six years. In 2006 he left Bell Gully to join Clyde & Co in Dubai, where he advised government, local and international clients on technology and telecommunications projects, as well as establishing and conducting businesses in the Middle East. Edwin joined Hudson Gavin Martin in April 2010.
The 2010 Chambers legal directory listed Edwin as the “Associate to watch” in its review of Corporate and Commercial law firms and lawyers in the United Arab Emirates. Edwin is praised for his "ability to really listen to clients and build an outstanding rapport".
