Jason Rudkin-Binks

Senior Associate

Jason has specialised in intellectual property and technology since 1998. He has considerable experience in all aspects of intellectual property (including plant variety rights, licensing and domain name disputes) with particular expertise in brand creation, protection, enforcement and commercialization.  In addition, he has broad expertise in many aspects of information technology, including licensing, support, development, services, consultancy and outsourcing arrangements.

As well as working in private practice Dr Rudkin-Binks has also worked in-house and advised in relation to some well-known global household brands.  His unique experience has lead him to adopt a commercial and practical approach to solving intellectual property based issues.

Having held a number of IP/IT positions in the UK, in 2005 Jason left the Commercial and Intellectual Property department of Hammonds in London to join Russell McVeagh in Auckland.  There he worked closely with Mark Gavin and partners in the corporate advisory group until leaving in 2007 to join the newly founded practice of Hudson Gavin Martin.
