Andrew specialises in technology and commercial law – with a focus on FinTech, data commercialisation and “as a Service” business models.
Andrew sits on the Core Working Group for FinTech NZ (the industry body responsible for connecting, promoting and advancing financial services innovation in New Zealand) and is a member of the NZ FinTech Regulatory Roundtable.
He joined Hudson Gavin Martin in 2017. Prior to that, Andrew spent six years in London initially at global law firm Taylor Wessing, where he focused on technology transactions and projects, software development/licensing and data protection, then moving to Barclays Bank where he led the FinTech practice within the Operations, Technology & Commercial Legal team responsible for providing strategic and transactional advice on the bank’s technology and innovation projects.
Andrew spent the first six years of his career at Bell Gully in Wellington, where he advised public and private sector clients on technology, commercial and procurement projects as well as public and administrative law matters.
