Tim Mahood is a litigation and intellectual property solicitor, and patent attorney, who advises on all aspects of intellectual property and media including patents, trade marks and copyright infringement, passing off, misleading and deceptive conduct and consumer law in both New Zealand and Australia.
Tim has significant litigation experience, and advises on both intellectual property filing and effective enforcement strategies. He is also an expert in privacy and media law, and advises clients on competition and intellectual property TMT regulatory compliance issues.
Tim joined Hudson Gavin Martin in April 2016 after returning from Sydney, where he was an intellectual property and litigation partner at Griffith Hack. Prior to joining Griffith Hack he was General Counsel at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA). Prior to working at NIWA, Tim was an intellectual property and litigation associate at James & Wells.
